Of all of the computes I’ve owned over the years, my 2009 MacBook Pro is my favorite. It is reliable, durable, and it has been capable of doing everything I’ve needed it to do.
I originally bought the MacBook Pro because of my interest in time-lapse photography. I always used to watch Tom Skilling on the WGN News, so that I could see the time-lapse weather segment intro. Then, one day, I decided that it was time to get up off the couch and start creating time-lapses of my own.
After doing some research, I decided the MacBook Pro would be the best laptop for creating time-lapse videos, and that was the beginning.
One of the things that I liked best, in the early years of owning the Mac, was that it was able to run all of my Windows programs, using Parallels for the Mac. That saved me a lot of money, as I did not have to buy all new software for the MacBook Pro. Plus, it enabled me to perform the tasks I needed to in Windows, while learning the Mac software.
Now, 10 years later, I use the MacBook Pro mainly for developing websites. Though I have newer computers, my 2009 MacBook Pro laptop is still my go-to computer.
